About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services is offering metallic and non-metallic scrap material for sealed bid sale at Camp Pendleton, California, with bids due June 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. PST.
Three material types are available on a per-pound basis: iron and steel scrap (CLIN 10, 2.1 million to 21 million pounds minimum/maximum over the 36-month base period); textile scrap (CLIN 20, 375,000 to 3.75 million pounds); and plastic scrap (CLIN 30, 120,000 to 1.2 million pounds). All material is Demilitarization Code A, offered as-is where-is. An amendment effective May 29, 2026, requires CLIN 10 and CLIN 30 to be bid together as linked items for award; CLIN 20 may be bid independently. The Government will make a single award to the highest responsive bidder whose combined aggregate bid for CLIN 10 and CLIN 30 yields the highest total return, and a separate award for CLIN 20 to its highest responsive bidder. The Scrap Warranty requirement is waived for CLIN 20 only.
Minimum bid is $0.00001 per pound with maximum five decimal places. Inspection begins May 21, 2026. The contract structure includes a 36-month base period followed by optional 12-month extensions (total not to exceed 66 months). Bidders must demonstrate removal capability and possess appropriate scrap handling licenses or approved subcontractors. Payment is due within 30 calendar days; storage charges of $0.05 per hundred pounds per day apply after three working days of notification. Removal operations are limited to Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PST. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of the amendment prior to bid opening. No bid deposit is required.
