The Government requires a contractor to remove trees greater than 2.5” diameter at breast height (DBH) from the area where the Fargo-Moorhead Metro flood diversion channel will be built, a length of approximately 35 miles. The Northern Long-Eared Bat was declared an endangered species in 2023. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract will be for a base period plus up to four option years, unilaterally exercisable by the Government. The trees to be removed are old fence rows, wind rows, farmstead tree lines and forested areas along the river. Contractor will leave stumps 2-3’ in height and will remove all debris exceeding 1” diameter and 5’ in length. Work will be completed within four (4) weeks of task order issuance. Debris will be removed from site within one week of cutting.
