About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground has issued a Special Notice for a Virtual Hybrid Industry Day for the Artificial Intelligence and Software at Pace (AIS@P) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). Scheduled for January 7, 2025, the event will be held at the Myer Auditorium at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, with both in-person and virtual participation options. The industry day is designed to provide contractors with a comprehensive overview of the upcoming contract vehicle, focusing on AI/ML and IEW&S software development capabilities. During the event, the Army will discuss the contract's structure, vendor pool composition, and innovative contracting approaches for rapid acquisition. Participants can expect detailed information about the draft Request for Proposal (RFP), full RFP, and proposed base contract award schedule.

The AIS@P MATOC presents a strategic opportunity for industry partners with a low barrier to entry and aims to accelerate Task Order/Delivery Order awards. The contract will have a ceiling value of $999M, with a 10-year period of performance including a 5-year base period and a 5-year option. The contract is structured around two primary Requirement Pools: RP1 for AI/ML capabilities and RP2 for software development, each with multiple sub-requirement pools targeting specific technical domains. Contractors can anticipate opportunities in areas such as AI onboarding support, data management, model development, software engineering, electromagnetic spectrum techniques, and infrastructure services. Key upcoming dates include the final Request for Information around January 13, draft RFP update in February, final RFP release in March, and base contract award projected for the fourth quarter of FY25. The government emphasizes that the base security clearance requirement has been reduced to Secret, though some task orders might require higher clearance levels.
