About this opportunity

The U.S. Embassy Canberra is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive make ready painting services, including patching, minor drywall/plaster repair, and related maintenance services for U.S. Government-owned or managed properties within the Australian Capital Territory. The solicitation establishes an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract with firm-fixed pricing, where services will be provided through individual task orders issued by the Contracting Officer. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit comprehensive proposals including pricing, representations, certifications, and past performance information electronically to cnbgsoprocurement@state.gov. The government intends to award to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offeror who demonstrates responsibility as a contractor, with the ability to evaluate proposals without conducting discussions. Key dates include a pre-proposal conference scheduled for July 15, 2025, a deadline for questions by July 22, 2025, and final quotation submissions due by August 14, 2025.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified contractors. The total estimated contract value is AUD $250,000 with a minimum guaranteed order value of AUD $5,000, indicating the government's commitment to providing baseline work volume. The contract includes a base performance period of 12 months with an optional 6-month extension period, allowing for potential contract duration of up to 18 months. All services will be performed at U.S. Government facilities located in Yarralumla ACT 2600, Australia, requiring contractors to have the capability to operate within the Australian Capital Territory. The contract pricing structure includes firm-fixed rates with no adjustments for material cost escalation, labor increases, or currency exchange rate fluctuations, placing financial risk on the contractor for accurate cost estimation and project execution.
