Update #2 · Latest ·
Amendment 001 to solicitation 12444524Q0060 extends the quote response due date to 07/12/2024.
The US Forest Service, CSA#6 Team, announces a total small business set-aside request for quote opportunity for removal of cabins for the Hiawatha National Forest, Munising Ranger District, located in Michigan. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 562910 with a size standard of $25 million. It is anticipated that one firm fixed price contract will be awarded from this solicitation. Contractors are required to be actively registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov in order to be considered for award.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
Work for this project consists of demolition and removal of three cabins and other associated ancillary structures near the cabins located on the property from National Forest land. Area will need to be accessed by barge/other vessel(s) via waters of Lake Superior where it can be landed directly in front of the cabins (Pokela and Schwalbach) to reduce additional surrounding land impacts and to access the other cabin (Woodcock) located further inland. Debris can then be transferred directly onto barge/vessel(s) over a short distance of the shoreline and disposed of on the mainland at an approved licensed Landfill. The three cabin locations have adjacent private landowners, and ALL work must be completed on USFS land only.
The Contractor shall furnish all material, equipment & trucking, watercraft, labor including prevailing wages, supervision, transportation, dump fees, supplies, United States Coast Guard (USCG) certifications and misc. materials necessary to complete building demolition and removal via transportation over Lake Superior of three (3) cabins on Grand Island. The contractor shall also provide all project management, administrative services, quality control, and logistical support to complete the work described in this solicitation.
