About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior's Fish and Wildlife Service is preparing to re-open a solicitation for a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) focused on Hazardous Fuels Reduction services nationwide, including Guam. The opportunity (Solicitation 140F0S24Q0001) seeks to add new vendors for fuels management services within the forestry support sector. Interested small businesses operating in NAICS code 115310 are invited to provide comments and potential service capabilities prior to the full solicitation release. The pre-solicitation notice indicates that vendors can specify the states or counties where they can perform work, which will be detailed in the attached Statement of Work. Potential contractors are encouraged to submit comments to Robert_Sung@fws.gov by January 3, 2025.
The BPA will be specifically set aside for small businesses with a size standard of $34 million, targeting support activities for forestry and fuels management services. This multiple-award BPA represents a strategic approach to expanding the pool of qualified vendors capable of performing hazardous fuels reduction services across national and Guam territories. The solicitation is currently in a pre-proposal phase, allowing industry stakeholders to provide feedback and prepare their submissions. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the $34 million size standard suggests significant potential contract scope and value. The opportunity is categorized under Product Service Code F099 for Natural Resources/Conservation services, indicating a focus on environmental management and conservation-related activities.
