About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps is seeking a contractor to provide pyrotechnics for the Hawaii Airshow through a Request for Quotation (RFQ) numbered M67854-25-Q-5205. The solicitation covers six contract line items including boosters, detonator assemblies, electric detonators, and detonating cord with specific technical requirements for each item. Vendors must submit comprehensive quotes by April 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time, with all submissions requiring exact quantities and adherence to brand name or equivalent specifications. The evaluation methodology will be lowest price technically acceptable, meaning vendors must meet precise technical requirements while offering the most competitive pricing. Questions regarding the solicitation are due by April 16, 2025, and must be emailed to the designated contact with a specific subject line format including the solicitation number.

The contract opportunity is not set aside for any specific business category and will be open to qualified vendors in the Explosives Manufacturing (NAICS 32592) sector. Delivery of all items is required within 30 days of contract award, with a final delivery deadline of June 20, 2025, to the Base Ammunition Supply Point at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe Bay. The total quantity of items ranges from 240 to 530 units across the different contract line items. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and include completed representations and certifications with their quotation. The place of performance is specified as Quantico, VA, with delivery to be made FOB Destination, inclusive of all transportation costs. Potential contractors should note the strict requirements for precise quantities and technical specifications, with the government indicating no flexibility for alternative proposals.
