About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 19 is soliciting quotations for elevator inspection and testing services at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The procurement seeks a contractor to perform semi-annual, annual, and five-year inspections on 25 elevators across multiple buildings, following ASME A17.1 and NFPA Life Safety and Fire Code standards. Contractors must provide technicians with minimum three years of manufacturer-certified experience and deliver comprehensive inspection reports with immediate deficiency reporting capabilities. The government will award to the responsible offeror with the lowest price that conforms to solicitation requirements. Solicitation questions must be submitted by 10:00 AM MDT on July 9, 2025, and quotations are due by 10:00 AM MDT on July 11, 2025, with all submissions to be made via email to Contract Specialist Charles Morton.

This procurement is designated as unrestricted open market with no set-aside used, though it was previously set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses but changed due to lack of awards. The previous incumbent contractor was Bayline, but the VA emphasizes this is a new requirement with updated specifications. The government has not disclosed the contract budget and encourages competitive offers for this firm fixed-price contract structure. The contract will consist of a base year from July 18, 2025, to July 17, 2026, with four additional one-year option periods extending through July 17, 2030. Services will be performed at the VA Medical Center located at 210 N 1950 W, Salt Lake City, Utah, covering inspection and testing of both traction and hydraulic elevator models throughout the facility.
