About this opportunity

This Special Notice is Amendment #2 to a solicitation issued by the Government Publishing Office (GPO) for annual fire preventative maintenance services. The GPO, a civilian federal agency headquartered at 732 North Capital Street NW in Washington, DC, is seeking qualified contractors to provide these services. The amendment was posted on April 14, 2026, and serves as the second modification to the original solicitation 040ADV-26-R-0021. The work is classified under NAICS code 561621 (Security Systems Services except Locksmiths) and PSC code H212 (Equipment and Materials Testing—Fire Control Equipment). This is not a set-aside contract, meaning it is open to all eligible contractors.

The primary purpose of this amendment is to extend the proposal submission deadline to May 4, 2026, in response to the GPO's recent change to the NAICS code classification. Contractors interested in responding must acknowledge receipt of this amendment by the extended deadline through one of three methods: completing items 8 and 15 on the amendment and returning copies, acknowledging receipt on each copy of their offer submission, or submitting a separate letter or electronic communication referencing both the solicitation and amendment numbers. Failure to properly acknowledge receipt by May 4, 2026, may result in rejection of the proposal. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged and in full force. The contracting officer for this amendment is Troy D. White. Prospective offerors should review both the original notice and Amendment #1 to access all relevant solicitation documentation and requirements.
