About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command, through the 375th Contracting Squadron, is seeking potential sources for glycol line repair and system refill services at the Scott Inn (Building 1812) located at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. The primary objective is to repair the glycol piping system and refill the glycol solution to address a critical issue where glycol is back-feeding into the potable water system, which risks corrosion and potential HVAC system failure. Key contract requirements include performing a comprehensive site assessment, conducting leak detection, repairing piping and components, flushing the system, refilling with a minimum 30% propylene glycol/water mixture, and conducting pressure and flow testing within a 30-calendar-day period from the Notice to Proceed. Contractors must provide detailed diagnostic and test reports to the Contracting Officer and ensure the HVAC system is restored to full operational capacity. All interested vendors must submit a capabilities statement package via email to the specified contracting personnel no later than 1:00 PM Central Standard Time on October 20, 2025. This pre-solicitation notice does not constitute a commitment to award a contract but serves as an informational Request for Information.

This opportunity has not been designated as a set-aside contract. The anticipated NAICS code is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors) with a size standard of $19,000,000, and no incumbent contractor is identified in this pre-solicitation notice. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the materials provided. All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and should include their business details, including business name, representative contact information, business size/type, CAGE code, and DUNS number in their response. The Scott Inn facility serves approximately 50,000 guests annually, underscoring the significance of restoring the glycol system before the cold weather months.
