About this opportunity
The General Services Administration is preparing to lease office space in Fort Myers, Florida, within a delineated area bounded by Colonial Boulevard, State Road 82, Alico Road, Corkscrew Road, and U.S. 41, with expressions of interest due by May 1, 2024, and estimated occupancy no later than April 2026.
GSA is soliciting multiple configurations: 9,850 square feet (two separate requests) and 6,800 to 7,140 square feet. All spaces require 10 to 12 surface parking spaces and 24/7 building and parking access. The lease term is 15 years firm with an 8 to 10 year initial commitment depending on configuration.
The space will house Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and federal agency administrative offices subject to security and operational constraints. TSA administrative offices must occupy contiguous, single-floor space where available, located away from windowed areas adjacent to fire escapes, ledges, or mezzanines, and preferably facing courtyards, interior spaces, or controlled areas rather than public views. TSA offices cannot be collocated with facilities handling, storing, or shipping hazardous materials, nor in any facility where non-government personnel require daily access or emergency egress through government spaces. One configuration requires the building to permit dogs on premises (taken home nightly by handlers). Roof-top access may be required for vertical UHF and VHF antennas, satellite dishes, and broadcast antennae. Parking ratio must meet local code or 1 space per 250 square feet minimum. Space must comply with federal fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards.
