About this opportunity
The Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base intends to solicit professional training in ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Model-Based Definition (MBD) for Weapons Engineers, with a Sources Sought response deadline of 28 August 2026. No set-aside is anticipated. Training will be delivered at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.
The government seeks unclassified training utilizing non-proprietary, open-source commercial courseware. Contractors must furnish all training materials, textbooks, pocket guides, software licenses if applicable for CAD environment demonstration, and instructional services. Required reference materials include GeoTol Pro (2020) or similar curriculum equivalent. The MBD module must address 3D Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) creation, datum definition in 3D CAD environments, GD&T application to solid 3D models, and integration with automated inspection and the digital thread. Students will receive Official ASME Certificates of Attendance or industry equivalent upon completion.
The government anticipates training approximately 1 to 2 distinct cohorts with 15 to 25 engineers per cohort. The acquisition is contemplated as a commercial, firm-fixed-price contract or purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. NAICS 611430 (Professional and Management Development Training) with a $15.0 million size standard applies. Small businesses, teaming arrangements, and joint ventures are encouraged. Responses to the Contractor Capability Survey must be emailed to Kyle Epperson (kyle.epperson.3@us.af.mil) and William Miranda Torres (william.miranda_torres@us.af.mil) by close of business 28 August 2026.
