The procurement involves purchasing and installing two Rational ICP 6-FULL/6-FULL E 480V 3 PH Combi Ovens with comprehensive specifications including double-stacked electric units, intelligent cooking systems, Wi-Fi capabilities, and multiple accessories such as stacking kits, stands, safety equipment, cleaning cartridges, and water filtration systems. These ovens are needed to replace multiple units that are broken beyond repair and are essential for the Culinary School Galley Watch Captain Course conducted in Building 82. The equipment must meet shipboard standards to align with course control document requirements, and the contract includes additional services such as pre-installation site consultation, certified installation, commissioning, and a Chef Assistance Program offering specialized training. The solicitation was posted on August 4, 2025, with responses due by August 8, 2025, providing contractors with only four days to submit their quotes.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting participation to qualified small business contractors. The place of performance is specifically at Naval Base Point Loma (ASW) Building 82 in San Diego, California 92136, where the Culinary School Galley Watch Captain Course is currently located. Payment will be processed through DFAS Electronic Funds Transfer using the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) System, indicating standard government payment procedures. The procurement falls under NAICS code 238290 for Other Building Equipment Contractors and PSC code 7310 for Food Cooking, Baking, and Serving Equipment. The contract requires delivery and installation of exactly two combi ovens along with all specified accessories and support services. No incumbent contractors or specific budget ranges are mentioned in the solicitation materials, though the comprehensive nature of the equipment and installation services suggests a substantial procurement value.
