About this opportunity
The Federal Bureau of Prisons' Federal Prison Camp Yankton seeks food service supplies for FY26 Quarter 4, with quotes due May 20, 2026 at 11:30 AM Central Time. This procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to certified small businesses.
Place of performance is Yankton, South Dakota (1016 Douglas Avenue). The estimated delivery period runs June 1 through June 30, 2026, with all deliveries pre-arranged and scheduled to the receiving warehouse between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM CST on business days only. The solicitation covers 59 line items totaling approximately 100,000+ pounds or units, including meats (beef, chicken, pork, turkey, fish), dairy products (butter, cheddar and mozzarella cheese), dry goods (beans, rice, pasta, cereals), canned vegetables, beverages, condiments, and specialty items including Kosher-certified products.
All items must be inspected upon delivery, palletized, properly labeled with expiration dates, and delivered at specified temperatures: frozen foods at 0°F or below, perishables between 34–41°F, canned goods above 34°F. Kosher-certified items must display Kosher Symbol certification. Items failing to meet specifications will be rejected; nonconforming products must be picked up at vendor expense within two weeks or will be disposed of by warehouse staff. Receipt of delivery may be conditional for three days to allow examination and testing.
The NAICS code is 311999, All Other Miscellaneous Food Manufacturing (small business size standard: 700 employees). This is a firm fixed price contract. Vendors must be registered and active in SAM.gov at the time of award. Evaluation uses FAR 52.212-2 for commercial items, assessing price and past performance (Go/No-Go determination on timeliness of deliveries and order accuracy/completeness); only vendors rated "Go" are eligible for award. The anticipated award date is May 22, 2026. Contact Dominick Warmbein, Contract Specialist, at dwarmbein@bop.gov or (605) 665-3262.
