About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force's Air Education and Training Command is seeking ambulance services for the Maxwell Ambulatory Healthcare Center (MAHC) at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama. The contract requires a vendor to provide two state-certified ambulances for patient transport services, operating 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, including holidays, covering government beneficiaries in family campgrounds and the federal prison camp. Potential vendors must demonstrate capabilities to meet the draft Performance Work Statement requirements and are required to submit responses by June 16, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. Central Daylight Time. The procurement will use NAICS code 621910 with a $22.5M size standard, and interested companies are asked to provide detailed information about their business, including contact details and documentation of service capabilities. Responses should be emailed directly to contract specialist William M. Griffiths or contracting officer William Stallings.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this contract, which suggests it is open to all qualified vendors. The contract period is anticipated to run from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2029, representing a four-year service agreement. Contractors must provide ambulances staffed with state-certified Emergency Medical Responders and Paramedics, capable of responding to medical emergencies within a 12-minute transport time. Personnel must meet strict medical evaluation, immunization, and background check requirements, including annual medical evaluations and child care criminal history background checks. While no specific award value is explicitly stated, the size standard of $22.5M suggests significant potential contract value. The service will involve comprehensive medical documentation, participation in special events and exercises, and the ability to transport patients to off-base hospitals with transport fees billed to patient insurance or managed care support contractors.
