About this opportunity
The United States Space Force Commercial Satellite Communications Office issued an industry forecast on May 28, 2026, presenting six anticipated contract opportunities totaling approximately $1.7 billion in estimated lifecycle value for fiscal years 2026–2027; no response is requested, and this information is provided for planning purposes only.
The CSCO procures satellite communication capabilities through the Future COMSATCOM Services Acquisition (FCSA), which encompasses COMSATCOM Transponded Capacity (CTC) for leased bandwidth and power with limited engineering services, COMSATCOM Subscription Services (CSS) for fixed or mobile satellite services billed on a per-use basis, and Complex Commercial SATCOM Solutions (CS3) for large custom integrated solutions. The CSCO may also pursue COMSATCOM Satellite Business Solutions (SBS) acquisitions outside FCSA using existing BPAs, IDIQs, or full and open competition.
Forecasted requirements include global enterprise communication services ($5 million–$15 million, award August 2026); 466 MHz Ku-band capacity for ISR platforms ($195 million–$205 million, award March 2027); operations and management support services ($215 million–$260 million, RFQ August 2026, award November 2026); five-year BPA for airborne ISR COMSATCOM services ($45 million–$55 million, award January 2027); maneuverable geosynchronous orbit satellite services ($895 million–$905 million, award February 2027); and Iridium-certified equipment provisioning and helpdesk support under IDIQ ($150 million–$180 million, award February 2027, effective April 2027). All requirements feature one-year base terms with multiple one-year options except those with five-year base terms.
