About this opportunity
The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base is conducting a Sources Sought market research effort to procure linen sets for Air Force lodging accommodations, specifically supporting 1,200 guest rooms at Maxwell/Gunter Annex. The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is seeking to gather industry information about potential suppliers' capabilities for providing seven specific linen items, including queen and king-size bedding, pillows, and terry cloth products. Interested vendors must submit detailed capability statements and company information by January 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST, following the guidelines in the attached Sources Sought documentation. The market research aims to help finalize the acquisition strategy and understand available commercial products that meet the government's requirements. Vendors are expected to provide information about their SAM.gov registration, applicable NAICS codes, and ability to meet the specified delivery timeline of January 31, 2025.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this procurement, making it open to all qualified vendors. The required linen items include specific technical specifications, such as queen-size pillowcases with T250 thread count in a 60/40 poly/cotton blend, and terry products made from 100% ring-spun, combed, long-staple cotton. All items must be brand new and include standard OEM warranties, with delivery scheduled for Building 849 at Maxwell AFB. While no specific award value is mentioned, the comprehensive requirement covers linens for 1,200 guest rooms, suggesting a substantial potential contract. Potential respondents should note that this is a market research effort, and submitting quotes or proprietary information is discouraged, as portions of responses may be incorporated into a future solicitation. Contact points for additional information are Capt. Nathan Kercher and Mr. William Stallings from the 42nd Contracting Squadron.
