About this opportunity
The Department of Agriculture Forest Service has issued a Limited / Sole Source Justification Notice for the establishment and monitoring of long-term oak habitat plots. The agency seeks to evaluate oak treatments and climate change impacts, and has identified a single vendor capable of providing the necessary equipment, labor, and data processing services within the required timeframe and at a lower cost compared to having the work done internally. The contract was awarded on June 5, 2024 for an estimated value between $XXX and $XXX to monitor the plots from May 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. The agency plans to incorporate this monitoring into future treatment area requirements to address ongoing needs.
Notice text
See the attached "Single Source Justification."
Although the purchase order has been awarded, the intent of posting this justification is to identify additional vendors that are capable of performing these services in the future. Capability is achieved by having direct experience establishing and monitoring Oak stand plots. If your company has this experience and past performance history, please contact the contract specialist identified in the Single Source Justification.
Awarded contract 1240BD24P0045 to unknown vendor for unknown amount on 2024-06-05.
