About this opportunity

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is soliciting a contractor to provide furniture removal and reinstallation services for an office relocation project at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The scope of work involves disassembling 26 existing workstations (Kimball and Teknion systems furniture), 1 conference table, and 2 huddle room furniture assemblies from one construction trailer, inventorying and palletizing components on government-furnished pallets, then reinstalling all furniture to original positions in a new construction trailer at the same location. The contractor must provide detailed inventory lists of pallet contents within 5 days of disassembly and work under constant escort supervision during hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The FBI will evaluate proposals using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) methodology, assessing technical capability, past performance, and price. A mandatory site visit was held on July 18, 2025, questions were due by July 22, 2025, and all proposals must be submitted electronically by 11:00 AM Central Time on July 29, 2025 to the designated FBI contracting personnel.

This solicitation is designated as a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 238390 (Other Building Finishing Contractors), limiting competition to qualified small businesses. No incumbent contractor or award values are specified in the available documentation. The performance period extends from August 15, 2025 to October 31, 2025, with work anticipated to occur between mid-August and mid-November 2025. The project location is specifically at 4942 Fowler Road, Huntsville, Alabama 35898, on the Redstone Arsenal property. The contract will be structured as a firm fixed-price arrangement, with the government providing logistical support including pallets, forklift services, and banding materials for the furniture components. The FBI anticipates making source selection during the week of July 28th and awarding the contract during the week of August 4th, with the contract start date being the day of award.
