About this opportunity

The 149th Fighter Wing of the Department of the Army National Guard is seeking a high-volume air compressor for their fuel shop at Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland, Texas. The required equipment must deliver 98 CFM air volume at 125 psi pressure and include a system drier, utilizing the existing 480v 3-phase power available in Building 946. The contractor must provide a complete turnkey installation including all necessary piping and wiring to support maintenance and repair operations for F-16 aircraft and external fuel tanks. The procurement will be evaluated based on multiple factors including price, delivery time, and technical acceptance. Proposals are due by August 8, 2025, with the solicitation having been posted on July 24, 2025.

This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to qualified small business concerns. The government files indicate they previously used a 120-gallon capacity unit, though specific award values or budget ranges are not disclosed in the available documentation. The contract seeks to address current operational limitations caused by insufficient portable air compressor performance in the fuel shop's maintenance capabilities. Performance will take place at Building 946 within Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland in San Antonio, Texas, with the contractor responsible for complete installation and integration with existing facility infrastructure. The solicitation falls under NAICS code 333912 for Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing and PSC code 4310 for Compressors and Vacuum Pumps.
