About this opportunity
Naval Supply Systems Command's Weapons Systems Support Nuclear Reactor Supply Chain Management Directorate issued a Request for Information on April 23, 2026 with a response deadline of May 26, 2026 to identify small business contractors for a total small business set-aside Blanket Purchase Agreement covering hose, pipe, tube, lubrication, and railing fittings (FSC 4730) used in the secondary systems of Navy nuclear reactors. The RFI is market research only and does not constitute a procurement commitment. Historical data projects approximately 772 delivery orders totaling $16.5 million over five years; the Government intends to establish BPAs with multiple suppliers to maximize competition. Eligible small businesses must meet the NAICS 332919 size standard of 750 employees and demonstrate past performance supplying similar high-complexity fittings within the last twelve months. Responses must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (maximum 25 pages, 5MB) by May 26, 2026 at 17:00 EDT to the Contracting Specialist and shall include company administrative information, business type certification, and specific past performance examples addressing complexity, dollar value, and contract type. New suppliers are subject to pre-award surveys by DCMA, NAVSUP quality assurance, and nuclear engineers to verify quality management systems, technical ability, production capacity, financial capability, and compliance with Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program safeguards. Individual purchases will not exceed $350,000 using simplified acquisition procedures.
Notice text
The Government, specifically the NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support (WSS) Nuclear Reactor Supply Chain Management Directorate, has an ongoing need for various competitively procured Hose, Pipe, Tube, Lubrication, and Railing Fittings used in the secondary system of the Navy’s nuclear reactors.
The Federal Supply Class (FSC) Code for these items is 4730. The NAICS code is 332919. The size standard for this NAICS code is 750 employees. Subject Hose, Pipe, Tube, Lubrication, and Railing Fittings are currently purchased via competitively issued purchase orders.
Based on historical data, the Directorate anticipates issuing approximately 772 delivery orders, totaling approximately $16.5 million during the upcoming 5 years.
At this time the Government is seeking to issue new BPAs. It is in the best interest of the Government to establish BPAs with multiple suppliers in order to provide maximum practicable competition. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this notice; however, interested small business concerns can view the attached Request for Information (RFI) to determine if its capabilities meet the technical and quality requirements necessary for the manufacture of this complex and critically applied nuclear material.
