About this opportunity
The Federal Bureau of Prisons Federal Correctional Complex Beaumont seeks fresh produce on a firm fixed-price basis, with quotations due May 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. CST. The procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside (NAICS 424480, 500-employee size standard) and will be awarded on an all-or-none, single-award basis with no multiple awards permitted.
Place of performance and delivery is Beaumont, Texas (5980 Knauth Road). The performance period runs May 18, 2026, through June 30, 2026, with weekly deliveries scheduled directly with the Food Service Administrator, Rene Guerra (rguerra@bop.gov). Amendment 0001 (May 5, 2026) corrected the period of performance on the offer letter and quotation sheet to reflect these dates.
Quoters must supply fourteen produce line items per National Menu Specifications, including bananas (907 cases), honey dew melons (13,400 lbs), cantaloupes (20,925 lbs), carrots (30 bags), celery (32 bags), cilantro (23 cases), coleslaw mix (248 cases), shredded lettuce (189 cases), salad mix (473 cases), onions (180 bags), sweet peppers (125 cases), sweet potatoes (242 cases), russet potatoes (767 bags), and tomatoes (290 cases). All items must comply exactly with U.S. Standards for Grades; specification substitutions are not accepted. Products from foreign countries distributed in the United States are acceptable unless otherwise specified. Quoters must submit the Standard Form 1449 and National Menu Specifications Quote Sheet with all pricing and item descriptions typed only on the quote sheets. All quoters must be registered in SAM and include their UEI. Prior to award, a sample of the food product may be requested. Evaluation is based on Lowest Price (Technically Acceptable) and Past Performance. Contact Contracting Officer Dillon Tydlacka (dtydlacka@bop.gov) or Celeste Valderas (cvalderas@bop.gov) in writing; telephone inquiries will not be answered.
