Interested small businesses are encouraged to respond to determine if a small business set-aside is feasible, with responses required by February 4, 2025, at 2 PM ET. The evaluation will focus on firms' capabilities to meet the requirement at fair market price, including previous experience, delivery capabilities, and pricing information. Respondents must provide detailed information about their business, including DUNS number, CAGE code, small business certification, and past performance on similar contracts.
The procurement is structured as a potential small business set-aside, contingent on receiving at least two qualified small business responses. The estimated NAICS code is 312113 (Ice Manufacturing), with a size standard of 750 employees. While no specific budget range is mentioned, historical usage data indicates approximately 31,190 bags and 23,000 blocks of ice were ordered in 2024. Contractors must comply with specific requirements including antiterrorism training, security procedures, and providing ice manufactured from potable, bacteria-free water. Potential penalties for non-compliance with subcontracting rules can reach up to $500,000 or the excess amount expended beyond permitted levels.
