About this opportunity

The Department of the Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing is seeking a contractor to provide preventative maintenance and repair services for fitness center exercise equipment at its Washington, DC facility. The contract is a hybrid firm fixed-price and time-and-materials arrangement requiring quarterly preventive maintenance and as-needed repairs for 48 pieces of fitness equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, rowing machines, and spin bikes from various manufacturers. Key requirements include conducting an initial equipment assessment within three weeks of award, responding to service calls within 24 hours, submitting detailed repair quotes before parts replacement, and providing equipment functionality reports within 48 hours of maintenance. Evaluation will be based on three criteria: technical capability (including approach and staffing plan), past performance (with references from at least three relevant contracts from the past five years), and pricing. The solicitation deadline for all quotes is March 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, with questions due by March 18, 2026. The contracting officer requests that contractors provide their hourly fully burdened labor rates for time-and-materials repair services, while firm fixed prices are required for quarterly preventive maintenance line items.

This solicitation is designated as a 100 percent small business set-aside. The incumbent contractor performed services under previous contract number 2031ZA20C00529. The total potential contract ceiling value, if fully exercised through all option periods, is $58,728, comprised of $15,000 not-to-exceed for the base year repair services, $16,500 for Option Year One, $18,152 for Option Year Two, and $9,076 for the final six-month extension option. The base contract performance period runs from April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, with two optional one-year extensions and a final six-month extension available through September 30, 2029. Work is performed at 14th & C Streets S.W., Room 517-M, Washington, DC 20228, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays and the BEP's annual December shutdown. All contractor personnel must obtain background investigations and wear visible identification badges while on premises.
