About this opportunity
NASA Glenn Research Center has issued a Special Notice for an Industry Day focused on the Fission Surface Power (FSP) System, scheduled for September 9, 2025. The event will be held in-person at the Ohio Aerospace Institute in Cleveland, Ohio, from 2:30-4:30 PM. NASA is also offering one-on-one sessions with the FSP Team on September 10, 2025, from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM for parties interested in providing full end-to-end effort solutions. This Industry Day is associated with NASA's Draft Announcement for Partnership Proposals (AFPP) for the FSP System. The notice emphasizes that all sessions will be conducted in-person only, with no virtual participation options available.
The primary purpose of this Industry Day is to engage potential contractors and partners in discussions about NASA's Fission Surface Power System development program. Interested companies must submit participation requests by 5:00 PM EDT on September 4, 2025, via email to designated NASA contacts, using the subject line "FSP System Industry Day Request." Participation is restricted to current US citizens only, with each company limited to one 30-minute meeting and a maximum of five attendees. Companies must provide detailed information including company details, participant names, and citizenship verification in their registration emails. While attendance at the Industry Day is not mandatory for future proposal submission and will not influence evaluation processes, the one-on-one sessions specifically focus on the Draft AFPP and provide direct engagement opportunities with NASA's FSP technical team.
