About this opportunity
The Federal Emergency Management Agency seeks removal and disposal of damaged racking and purchase and installation of new warehouse racking at its Distribution Center in Fort Worth, Texas, with proposals due August 17 at 12:00 PM ET and questions due August 11 at 3:00 PM ET. This is a Total Small Business set-aside under RFO Part 12 commercial items procedures.
Place of performance is FEMA DC Fort Worth, 501 W. Felix Street, Building #12, Fort Worth, TX 76115. The period of performance is 90 days from contract award, with work hours fixed at 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday only. The contractor must remove and dispose of all damaged racking and install new teardrop-style racking (240" x 42" uprights with NS 102" x 4½" beams) rated to hold up to 2,500 lbs. per position, with three levels above the floor capable of conversion between 4-high and 5-high configurations without modification. All posts must be anchored to concrete flooring with 24" minimum deflector-style post protectors and mechanical safety locks. Existing wire decks (42 x 46 galvanized) will be reinstalled after new racks are installed. The new racking must match the existing bay layout exactly with no reconfiguration permitted. FEMA will accept alternate rack configurations and repair options instead of full upright replacement if structural integrity meets industry standards. The NAICS code is 337215, Showcase, Partition, Shelving, and Locker Manufacturing (PSC 7195).
The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to the offeror demonstrating best value. Evaluation weighs Statement of Work Specifications as most important, followed by Delivery Timeframe and Price. A site visit is available by request with a deadline of August 12 at 3:00 PM ET. Technical specifications should not exceed two pages.
