About this opportunity
This solicitation seeks proposals to implement the Feed the Future Senegal Value Chain Services Activity, a five-year contract with USAID Senegal to increase incomes through sustainable market systems. Services will include improving access to agricultural, business, finance, risk management and market packages to boost productivity, commercialization, entrepreneurs and jobs in cereal, horticulture and small ruminant value chains. Proposers must demonstrate experience strengthening market systems and include approaches for at least four value chains to benefit 20,000 households. Proposals were due May 18, 2020 with award by July 2020. Evaluation will consider technical approach, management plan, and past performance on similar contracts.

The activity budget is estimated between $35-40 million to be implemented across three sub-zones in Senegal over five years beginning October 2020. The goal of Value Chain Services is to increase income of the targeted population through an inclusive and sustainable market system approach. Annex 3 outlined the result framework for achieving this goal. Improved access to agricultural, business development, finance, risk management and market services packages for a range of target clients along the value chains will increase producers’ productivity and commercialized surplus, and foster more young entrepreneurs, viable micro-, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and their employed people entering the value chains.
Amendment 1 to (1) Issue a Revised Soliciatation, (2) Provide Responses to Questions, and (3) Extend the submission date.
Amendment 2 to to clarify responses to questions 54c and 61 in Amendment 1.
Amendment 3 to change the submission date from April 14, 2020 to May 18, 2020
