About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Sam Houston has issued a Sources Sought Notice regarding maintenance services for automatic defibrillators and heart monitors at Fort Belvoir Fire & Emergency Services. The government intends to award a sole source contract to Stryker Sales, LLC for up to 36 months under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), citing that only one responsible source exists to satisfy the agency's requirements. The contract covers routine hardware and software service support for LIFEPAK 15 Monitor/Defibrillators and LIFEPAK 1000 Automated External Defibrillators. The Performance Work Statement specifies a fixed price of $15,606.00 per year for comprehensive maintenance services including annual testing, calibration, repair, battery replacement, and on-site technical support. The contract period spans one base year plus four option years from October 30, 2025 to October 29, 2030.
The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to inform the marketplace of the government's intention to proceed with sole source procurement rather than to solicit proposals or bids. Interested parties have until September 8, 2025 to respond, though the government explicitly states it is not seeking quotes, bids, or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Contractors responding should provide relevant contract numbers, dollar values, and descriptions of similar work demonstrating their capability to perform technical services for electronic and precision equipment repair and maintenance (NAICS 811210). The contractor must be able to respond to service calls within two hours and resolve issues within 24 hours while providing comprehensive maintenance reports. This notice does not preclude future competition if the government decides to issue a formal solicitation, and potential offerors are advised to monitor the Governmentwide Point of Entry for any future opportunities.
