About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command is seeking a professional leadership course for the 19 Air Support Operations Squadron, targeting Company Grade Officers and mid-level Non-Commissioned Officers in the Air Force Special Warfare community. The 10-day training program will blend elements of Ranger School and Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leaders Course (RSLC), focusing on tactical leadership, troop leading procedures, and tactical planning that meets specific military training standards. The course must include instruction on Military Decision Making Process (MDMP), area and zone reconnaissance, and five-paragraph Operations Order (OPORD) preparation. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical acceptability and price reasonableness, with submissions due by 12:00 PM Central Standard Time on May 26, 2025. All technical and contractual questions should be directed to Ms. Amber Climaco and Mr. Hunter Ottensmeier via email.
The solicitation is designated as a total small business set-aside with performance to take place at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The training requires two instructors maintaining a 1:8 participant ratio, with course leaders needing a minimum of 10 years of combat leadership experience from Special Operations Forces/Special Mission Unit backgrounds. While specific award value is not explicitly stated, the contract will be a firm-fixed price procurement under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 simplified acquisition procedures. The course will challenge participants through dismounted patrols, minimal food and sleep conditions, and daily leadership position rotations, with participants receiving certificates in individual skills, mission planning, team relationships, and tactical employment. The 93rd Air Ground Operations Wing will provide extensive equipment for the training, including uniforms, tactical gear, communication devices, and personal survival items.
