About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 21 seeks completion and return of a pricing schedule for hazardous waste pick-up and disposal services, with proposals due September 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM Pacific Time. This is a total small business set-aside.
Place of performance is 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, California 94121. The NAICS code is 562112, Hazardous Waste Collection, and the PSC code is F108, Environmental Systems Protection—Environmental Remediation. Work encompasses collection, transportation, and disposal of 86 categories of hazardous waste across three one-year ordering periods from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2029. Waste categories include flammable, toxic, corrosive, and oxidizer compounds in lab pack and bulk configurations; specialty wastes such as mercury, formalin, aerosols, RCRA chemotherapy and medications, asbestos, paint, and universal waste (batteries, electronic waste, fluorescent tubes); and ancillary items including replacement drums, compressed gas, and used oil. Container sizes range from 5-gallon drums to 55-gallon drums, 19-gallon containers, and larger cubic yard quantities for asbestos. Annual estimated quantities are provided in the pricing template.
Amendment 0001, dated August 26, 2026, requires offerors to complete and submit Attachment 5, the Disposal Rates Estimate pricing spreadsheet, with detailed unit and total pricing for each Contract Line Item Number across all three ordering periods. Service Contract Act prevailing wage determinations apply to the San Francisco-San Mateo, Del Norte-Humboldt-Lake-Mendocino, and Sonoma County geographic areas. Past performance evaluations will assess offeror quality of work using a five-point scale; offerors must submit three references with signed surveys to contracting officer Durell Salaz at durell.salaz@va.gov.
