About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Research Laboratory (AFRL) has issued a Special Notice for the Expansion and Prototype Initiative for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence and Cyber (EPIC) program. The EPIC program aims to accelerate the prototyping and testing of capabilities in C4IC technologies through a coordinated effort involving government, industry, and academia.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to gather information from Consortiums and/or Consortium Management Firms to inform a potential future acquisition strategy and Request for Proposal (RFP) for an Other Transaction Agreement for Prototype (OTP) award. The anticipated OTP agreement would have an approximate ceiling value of $499M, a 60-month ordering period, and 24-month performance period, and would include multiple Firm Fixed Price Project-Level Orders for various services. AFRL is seeking early industry engagement, feedback on the government's needs, and the potential for competition. Responses to the RFI are due within 15 days and should address the organization's OTA experience, technical capabilities, personnel qualifications, relevant past performance, and willingness to submit a proposal if an RFP is issued.
