About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) is conducting market research to identify educational, nonprofit institutions, or federally funded research and development centers that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to provide essential engineering, research, and development services to support the United States Air Force and its Foreign Military Sales partners at Robins Air Force Base. The required capabilities span a wide range of specialized engineering disciplines, including aircraft structural integrity, avionics, diminishing manufacturing sources, reliability-centered maintenance, modeling and simulation, and software development. The government is seeking sources with access to PhD-level expertise that can provide rapid response for critical projects and have the ability to dedicate lab space and resources to simultaneously support multiple efforts.
This pre-solicitation notice is not a set-aside requirement. The government has not determined the level of security clearance or amount of foreign participation required. Participation in this market research survey does not guarantee inclusion in any future solicitation or contract award. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their response. The anticipated contract vehicle is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, but the specific award value or funding details have not been provided.
