About this opportunity
Air Force Space Command is conducting market research through a Request for Information due September 3, 2026, to assess contractor interest and capability for equipment relocation services, with an anticipated small-business set-aside under NAICS 484110 (General Freight Trucking, Local; size standard $34 million). The anticipated Request for Quotation number is FA2521-26-Q-B170.
Performance takes place at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida. The contractor must relocate 15 fabrication equipment items from Buildings 605, 607, 651 (or 631), and 699 to Building 757 within a 7-day consecutive window following a 30-day period of performance. All relocation work—personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision—falls to the contractor, except disconnection and reconnection of hardwired electrical components, which the government handles separately; the contractor coordinates timing with the electrical contractor. Equipment ranges from welders and lathes to a 3D printer, with weights up to 3,200 pounds and dimensions up to 8 feet 8 inches by 10 feet by 6 feet. The contractor must verify Lockout/Tagout completion, manage inventory, provide material handling equipment (forklifts, dollies, rigging), secure and protect equipment during transit, coordinate movement routes with facility managers, and comply with all OSHA regulations and Air Force safety policies. All personnel require base access passes.
Responses must not exceed five pages and include DUNS number, CAGE Code, SAM registration expiration, GSA contract details, business size, socioeconomic status certification, teaming arrangements, description of similar services, and up to three references. Submit to stephen.ortiz-gonzalez@spaceforce.mil and christopher.petrosky.4@spaceforce.mil by 10:00 AM Eastern September 3, 2026.
