About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center has issued a Request for Information (RFI) titled "Enterprise Sustainment Contract for Repair, Spares, & Engineering Services," posted on February 9, 2026. This RFI is a market survey designed to identify potential contractors with expertise in repair services, spare parts provisioning, and engineering support for avionics, electronic warfare, radar systems, and associated test equipment. The RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a binding Request for Proposal or commitment to award a contract. The government is conducting this market research to gather information about available sources before proceeding with future contracting actions. Interested parties should monitor the SAM website for any subsequent solicitation that may be released.

The primary objective of this RFI is to identify qualified contractors capable of supporting a planned single-award, ten-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract beginning September 10, 2028, and expiring September 9, 2038. Responses are due by March 9, 2026, and the government will not reimburse any expenses incurred by respondents. All contractors, including large businesses, small businesses, joint ventures, and teaming arrangements, are eligible to participate and will be evaluated under FAR Part 19 small business procedures. Respondents must demonstrate depot-level repair and manufacturing capabilities for complex avionics and electronic systems, describe their approach to acquiring technical data rights for proprietary systems, and confirm production and repair capabilities meeting or exceeding Original Equipment Manufacturer specifications. The requirement encompasses support for multiple aircraft platforms including B-1B, B-52, C-130, E-3, F-15, F-16, and T-38 aircraft, with specific subsystems such as AN/APY-1/2, AN/ALQ-161, and LN-260 inertial navigation systems. Participation in this RFI does not guarantee participation in any future RFP, nor does failure to respond preclude future participation.
