About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center is publishing a Determination and Findings notice consolidating enterprise Patient Radiation Dose Tracking (PRDT) system requirements into a single procurement set aside 100% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses through the NASA SEWP GWAC, with a response deadline of September 3, 2026.
The VA is consolidating multiple fragmented PRDT and dose-tracking solutions currently operated by individual Veterans Integrated Service Network facilities, PACS/RIS-embedded tools, and local implementations into one enterprise SaaS platform. The acquisition (36C10B-26-AP-0652) covers software licensing, implementation, migration, training, and managed services across a 12-month base period plus four 12-month option periods. The consolidated approach eliminates heterogeneous functionality and limited analytics while standardizing technology, governance, and data across VA medical facilities nationwide.
The solution must integrate with legacy VA systems, support DICOM and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise standards including Radiation Dose Structured Reports, operate within VA's cybersecurity and Zero Trust frameworks, and deliver enterprise-wide standardization and centralized analytics. Market research identified at least two commercial vendors with mature, non-developmental solutions capable of meeting the requirement. The SDVOSB set-aside restricts competition to eligible NASA SEWP GWAC contract holders. Consolidation is expected to accelerate deployment, enhance security, reduce administrative burden, and avoid costs associated with multiple separate procurements or task orders.
