About this opportunity

The Department of the Treasury Bureau of the Fiscal Service, acting on behalf of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), is seeking a contractor to perform Emergency Generator Preventive Maintenance for an MTU Generator located in Vienna, VA. The solicitation (No. 20341225Q00025) requires comprehensive maintenance services, including one major and three minor preventive maintenance services annually, with a focus on generator inspections, parts replacement, and emergency repair capabilities. The government will evaluate proposals using a lowest-priced technically acceptable (LPTA) methodology, comparing quotations against the detailed Statement of Work requirements. Potential contractors must submit their questions by March 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM ET, with final proposals due by April 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM ET. Technical acceptability will be determined by ensuring compliance with the specified maintenance and operational requirements outlined in the solicitation documents.

This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 811310 for commercial and industrial machinery repair and maintenance. The contract period spans three years, consisting of a base year and two 12-month option years, with the potential to provide uninterrupted power to FinCEN's critical infrastructure for 48 continuous hours without refueling. The generator is located at 2070 Chain Bridge Road, Suite G-99 in Vienna, VA, and requires maintenance services that include detailed tasks such as lubricant and filter changes, fuel system checks, ignition system inspections, and emergency system load transfer testing. The contractor must provide written reports after each maintenance service and warranty replaced parts for 12 months. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the solicitation requires a firm-fixed price contract with the expectation of providing comprehensive emergency generator maintenance services.
