About this opportunity
The U.S. Consulate General in Hermosillo is seeking distributors to provide an electric slab scissor lift with specific technical requirements including 24V DC power, maximum indoor working height of 45 feet, lift capacity of 770 pounds, and sound pressure level below 70 dBA. The Department of State procurement requires the equipment to include side forklift pockets and basket extension, along with mandatory one-day on-site training for up to 8 participants covering safe equipment operation with DC3 (Mexico) or equivalent U.S. certification. All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award and submit technical data sheets with their proposals. The government will evaluate proposals using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) method and may award the contract based on initial offers without discussions. Proposals must be submitted to hermogsocontracts@state.gov by August 19, 2025, with the solicitation period running from August 5 through August 19, 2025.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and will result in a firm-fixed rate contract award. No incumbent contractors or specific award values are mentioned in the solicitation documents. The procurement involves a single electric slab scissor lift unit with specific performance parameters including maximum outdoor working height of 29 feet and reduced lift capacity of 250 pounds when the extension deck is deployed. Performance will take place at the U.S. Consulate compound in El Torreon, Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, where the equipment delivery and training must occur. Mexican vendors must deliver directly to the Hermosillo location, while U.S. and international vendors may deliver to either Hermosillo or Brownsville, Texas, with the government internally adding estimated transportation and customs costs to U.S.-based bids for fair evaluation purposes.
