About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 21 is conducting market research for an Electronic Infrastructure Upgrade and Programming project at the Las Vegas VA Medical Center through a Sources Sought notice. The procurement involves the supply, installation, and programming of 63 server switches across 23 IT closets in multiple buildings, requiring industrial 19" chassis with redundant power supplies, stackable configurations, and fiber optic connections. Vendors must demonstrate capability to integrate new equipment with existing security, surveillance, communication, alarm, radio, and monitoring systems while providing factory-trained, manufacturer-verified technical personnel. Key performance requirements include after-hours work scheduling between 4:30pm and 5:30am, emergency technical support availability, and on-site response times ranging from 1-36 hours depending on service type. Interested vendors must submit capability statements, company information, estimated pricing, and NASA SEWP contract availability to david.alvarez4@va.gov by 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time on July 30, 2025, with responses limited to firms operating under NAICS code 334111 with small business size standards of 1,250 employees.
This opportunity does not include any set-aside designations and is open to vendors regardless of business size, though socio-economic status information including Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, VOSB, and Women-Owned Small Business certifications should be included in responses. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the notice, and no specific award values or budget ranges are disclosed at this preliminary market research stage. The project scope centers on the installation and configuration of 63 server switches distributed across 23 IT closets throughout multiple buildings at the medical center facility. The timeline emphasizes immediate market research with a tight six-day response window, though no specific performance period or project completion dates are established in this Sources Sought phase. Vendors are required to provide estimated pricing and identify items available through existing NASA SEWP contracts as part of their capability submissions.
