About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is seeking small businesses to participate in a renovation project at Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi. The project involves renovating existing space in Building 730 to create new offices for Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) and Integrated Prevention Workforce (IPW) teams. The renovation will transform rooms 131, 135, 135A, and 140 into seven private offices and support areas, including modifications to HVAC systems, fire protection, lighting, flooring, and creating a shared conference room. Interested businesses must submit their sources sought responses by June 17, 2025, at 3:00 PM CST, providing details about their business size, socio-economic categories, previous project experience, and bonding capacity. The contracting points of contact are Noah C. Waymire and Daniel L. Stilts from the Air Force's 14 Contracting Squadron.
The contract is designated as a total small business set-aside under NAICS category 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) with a size standard of $45 million. The project will be a firm-fixed price renovation and construction contract with a total project period of 274 days, targeting completion by April 30, 2025. The scope of work includes installing new LED lighting, implementing a raised floor system, adding LVT plank and carpet flooring, and ensuring compliance with Air Force safety and environmental regulations. While no specific award value is mentioned, the project involves comprehensive office renovation with specific design and construction requirements. Businesses will need to demonstrate capability to handle a complex renovation project that requires minimal disruption to existing infrastructure and adherence to strict government building standards.
