About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, seeks supply and delivery of one fully assembled duplex strainer, with quotes due August 31, 2026 at 3:00 PM Local Time. The procurement is set aside for small business concerns and is being issued as an RFQ for a firm fixed price contract under FAR Part 12 (combined synopsis/solicitation).
Place of performance and delivery is New Orleans, Louisiana 70118. The strainer must meet specific technical specifications: 6-inch nominal pipe size, cast steel galvanized body with flanged Class 150 ANSI B16.5 end connections, Monel basket with 1/8-inch perforations, 6:1 minimum open area ratio, galvanized hardware, auxiliary vent and drain connections, and 22.5-inch flange-to-flange length. Delivery is required on or before December 30, 2026, with delivery window restricted to 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday through Thursday. Amendment 0001 issued August 25, 2026 addresses contractor questions and clarifies that cast carbon steel with Monel baskets is acceptable as an alternative to the originally specified carbon steel with galvanized coating; the 22.5-inch and 6-inch dimensions are reference targets to minimize field modifications but are not limiting factors.
The NAICS code is 336611 (Shipbuilding and Repairing) with a 1,300-employee size standard. Offerors must be registered in SAM at time of quote submission and must acknowledge receipt of Amendment 0001 prior to submission. Quotes must remain valid for 60 calendar days from submission date. Deliverables include the duplex strainer and an Operation and Maintenance manual. Questions are due August 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM Local Time to Contract Specialist Nakiea Butler at Nakiea.B.Butler@usace.army.mil.
