About this opportunity
The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Desert Southwest Region (DSWR), has issued a Special Notice for a sole source contract award to Utilicast, LLC for the Disturbance Monitoring Equipment (DME) M9000 Controller System. This requirement is to satisfy the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Protection and Control (PRC)-002-2 compliance mandate.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to provide a sole source justification for awarding the contract to Utilicast, LLC, as they are the only responsible source that can provide the required DME M9000 controllers that are compatible with WAPA's existing USI DME equipment. WAPA is providing a seven-day response window for any responsible sources that believe they can fulfill the requirements to submit a capability statement to the specified email address. WAPA will only consider responses to determine if a competitive procurement should be conducted in lieu of the sole source award, at their sole discretion. Contractors must be able to clearly demonstrate their ability to provide the specified services outlined in the notice.
