About this opportunity

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, which Stanford University operates for the Department of Energy under Contract DE-AC02-76SF00515, is soliciting best and final offers on price and lead-time for 150 HD120+AR and 80 CM2699 fused silica highly dispersive mirrors, with quotes due November 5, 2026. The notice lists the DOE Office of Science as the agency. No set-aside is used, and source selection is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). SLAC states that its subcontracts are not federal procurements and are not directly subject to the FAR, though certain federal laws and regulations may affect its DOE-approved purchasing system.

Place of performance is Menlo Park, California 94025. The quote covers product only, and on-site services are not permitted. NAICS is 3333, Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing, and PSC is AJ12.

Both items are 38.1 mm diameter by 12.7 mm thick plano/plano fused silica mirrors. The HD120+AR specifies a 1030 nm central wavelength, a 935 to 1125 nm band, GDDr of -200 fs², 5-degree angle of incidence, minimum reflectance of 99.9% for p polarization, and an AR coating on surface 2. The substrate is Corning 7980 0F, with diameter tolerance of +0/-0.1 mm and thickness tolerance of +/-0.1 mm.

Offerors must complete the attached Representations and Certifications rider and the Buy American Act certification, and must accept the FP Commercial Supplies-Services T&Cs (August 2023) and the SLAC General Terms and Conditions Supplemental Rider (Rev. August 2026). A subcontractor cyber security requirements clause is also attached.

Notice text
