About this opportunity

This solicitation has been cancelled as of August 7, 2026, due to a requirement change. The following summary reflects the procurement as originally structured.

The U.S. Geological Survey sought deionized/reverse-osmosis water filter canisters for its Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin, with proposals originally due August 7. Amendment 0003, posted August 7, cancelled the entire solicitation due to a requirement change.

The procurement was a Total Small Business Set-Aside and was structured as a Blanket Purchase Agreement covering the period August 17, 2026, through August 16, 2027, with a total annual purchase not to exceed $12,000 and individual call orders not exceeding $16,000. Four line items were specified: 14-inch carbon tanks for chlorine removal, 14-inch mixed-bed deionized tanks, and corresponding core credits upon return, with all pricing to include delivery and core pickup. Replacement frequency varied with lab use: one carbon tank exchange annually and two mixed-bed tank exchanges every nine months under typical conditions or every two months during multiple ongoing studies.

Place of performance was the UMESC facility in La Crosse, Wisconsin, with required delivery within 3–5 days of order placement during receiving hours (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Central Time, Monday–Friday), with 24-hour advance notification. Quotations required submission of the completed SF1449, evaluation factor information, and Attachment 1 Price Schedule to beth_wilson@ios.doi.gov. Evaluation weighted vendor capability to deliver tanks within 48 hours and past performance with minimum five commercial references in specified Wisconsin counties significantly more than firm-fixed price. The NAICS code is 333310 with a 1,000-employee small business size standard. Either party could terminate the agreement with 30 days' written notice.
