About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center seeks to acquire an enterprise-wide Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Predictive Tool capability to assist program managers in evaluating potential obsolescence risks for program-managed systems. Key requirements of the tool include loading and updating Bill of Material data and performing queries to determine the present and future status of items and related life cycle procurement efforts. The agency will evaluate proposals based on the offeror's ability to provide an existing, non-developmental IT solution and related engineering support services. Questions regarding the draft RFP were due by May 11, 2020.
There is no set-aside designated for this procurement. The associated NAICS code is 518210 for Other Data Processing Services, with a small business size standard of $35 million. The base period of performance is one year with four one-year options and a potential six-month extension. The estimated total contract value including options could exceed $35 million over five and a half years. The predictive tool must be capable of tracking parts obsolescence across Air Force weapon systems and predicting future availability issues for thousands of BOM items.
