About this opportunity
The National Institutes of Health, Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations, intends to sole-source a contract to FieldLine Medical for development and validation of a magnetocorticography array using optimized optically pumped magnetometers, with capability statements due July 23, 2026 at 9:00 AM Eastern time.
The procurement is being pursued non-competitively because all prior development activities have been conducted collaboratively with FieldLine Medical, and the existing prototype sensor arrays, associated electronics, and supporting infrastructure are proprietary to that vendor's platform. No commercially available OPM gradiometer sensors currently exist; the specialized research and development services required, including prototype fabrication and testing, must be fully compatible with FieldLine Medical's existing generation-2 prototype system.
The contract will be conducted under FAR Part 13 simplified acquisition procedures with a ceiling not exceeding $350,000. NAICS code 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) and PSC 6515 (Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies) apply.
Interested parties must submit capability statements, technical proposals, cost-price proposals, period of performance, UEI, TIN, and business size certification to Michael Falzone, Contracting Officer, at Michael.falzone@nih.gov, referencing solicitation 75N98026Q00778. All offerors must maintain active SAM registration. The government retains discretion to proceed on a non-competitive basis or conduct competitive procurement based on responses received.
