About this opportunity

The Bureau of Reclamation seeks to develop a temperature modeling system within the CE-QUAL W2 modeling platform for its Central Valley Operations Office. Interested vendors must develop physically based models to predict water temperatures in major reservoirs of the Central Valley Project. Models must be developed for the northern system including Shasta, Keswick, Trinity, Lewiston and Whiskeytown reservoirs by the period of performance from September 2020 through September 2023. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical approach, personnel qualifications, past performance, and price. The quote due date is September 3, 2020.

There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. The contractor will perform 17 tasks over a three-year period to develop the modeling system framework, collect and manage input data, calibrate and validate models, implement models for real-time and planning applications, and document sources of uncertainty. Key deliverables include technical memoranda, calibrated models, documentation reports, and support for a peer review of the completed system. Place of performance will be at the Central Valley Operations Office.
