About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command seeks to procure office furniture and workstation installation services for the Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) at USAG-Miami. The procurement involves the breakdown and relocation of six cubicle workstations to storage trailers during construction, followed by the purchase of new Steelcase brand furniture for two office spaces (rooms 1022A and 1022B) and the reinstallation of two workstations. The contract requires specific Steelcase products including Kathryn guest chairs, Amia chairs, center drawers, vertical cabinets, service modules, pedestals, tackboards, and desk worksurfaces, predominantly in medium cherry finish. This is structured as a sole source procurement to Perdue Inc., which serves as the only local distributor and installer of Steelcase products for USAG-Miami and USSOUTHCOM. The solicitation number is W91QEX25QA018 with delivery required by December 12, 2025, though notably the posted due date of September 5, 2025 appears to have already passed.
The contract includes a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) set-aside designation under NAICS code 337214 for Office Furniture Manufacturing. Perdue Office Interiors has been identified as the sole source contractor based on previous contracts from March 27, 2024 and October 21, 2023, justified under FAR Part 8 Limited Sources procedures due to administrative issues with alternative distributors and the need to maintain uniformity in office furniture configuration. The scope encompasses both relocation services for existing workstations and new furniture procurement, with the contract structured as a firm fixed price arrangement. The work involves relocating six workstations initially, with two workstations to be reinstalled after construction completion, ensuring continuity of operations during the DES office reconfiguration project.
