This solicitation is for Demineralized Water Services requirement on Holloman AFB for currently 38 units beginning on 01 October 2020. This acquisition will be fixed price. Women-Owned Small Business Set aside to be used.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Contractor shall provide new industrial grade equipment, unless otherwise approved by the COR (systems will be 300 gpd units at minimum), personnel, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to lease, maintain, and service all water softeners and reverse osmosis (RO) systems (including Government-owned), at Holloman Air Force Base (HAFB), NM. Services include, but not limited to, all necessary utility connections, deliver/unload/fill salt in equipment, utilizing service tags, clean ups, service calls (routine or emergency), schedules and documentation, manpower reporting and certain Government provided training.
It is noted the HAFB potable water system produces high Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), averaging approximately 500-700 mg/l and a total hardness of approximately 400-600 mg/l as Calcium Carbonate (Ca CO3) (23-35 grains per gallon), an average pH of 7.4. The base requires soft, less than 100 mg/l (TDS) processed water, including dining facility equipment, boilers, humidifiers, mission essential laboratory and operational processes, ice machines and drinking water systems for Mission and non-mission essential buildings.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE (POP): The POP is for a six-month base period of 1 October 2020 to 31 March 2021, and four one-year option periods (1 April 2021 – 31 March 2025).
