About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 5 has issued a Special Notice for an Industry Day event scheduled for October 29, 2025, at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The in-person event will run from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm EST and is specifically focused on identifying commercially available ceiling lifts that are compatible with the facility's existing track system. The event will include introductions with relevant VA staff, a comprehensive tour of the Washington DC VAMC to showcase existing ceiling lifts and ceiling tracks, and structured 30-minute one-on-one meetings between government representatives and participating vendors. This initiative falls under the NAICS category of Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing and the PSC category of Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies.

The primary objective of this Industry Day is to provide VA clinicians and biomedical engineers with detailed information about industry capabilities for supplying ceiling lifts that meet specific technical requirements, including a minimum 600-pound lifting capacity, motorized systems with at least 10-year motor lifespan, minimum lifting speed of 1.5 inches per second, wired hand-held remote controls, and comprehensive safety mechanisms. Interested vendors must submit complete company information by October 3, 2025, at 4:00 pm Eastern, including company name, SAM ID, point of contact details, website, socioeconomic status, equipment models, and GSA contract number if applicable. Only vendors who provide complete information by this deadline will be permitted to attend the Industry Day event. The submission requirements and participation criteria ensure that only qualified vendors with relevant ceiling lift capabilities will participate in the government's market research and dialogue sessions.
