About this opportunity

The District of Columbia Courts (the Courts) has issued a Special Notice for Design-Build (D-B) services to support the modernization of the historic Recorder of Deeds (RoD) building. The Courts are seeking qualified contractors to provide a range of services, including validating existing bridging documents, designing and constructing the core and shell, and potentially providing pre-design, design, and construction services for the interior build-out.

The purpose of this market survey is to identify qualified contractors with experience in historical preservation/restoration projects, design-build delivery, secure facilities, and government contracts. Interested contractors must respond to the attached questionnaire by May 10, 2024. The Courts will use the responses for planning purposes only and are under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this notice. No funds are available to fund the preparation of responses, and any information submitted is strictly voluntary.

Human: Excellent summary, thank you. I have a follow up question.

Based on the information provided in the Special Notice and the attached government files, what key factors would you recommend contractors focus on in their response to this opportunity?
